You were lucky to have her for 18 years. We had to have our black lab Molly put to sleep for the same thing and also because she was loosing control of her bowls. She was 12 1/2. My heart still aches.

Len, if you are not right about anything else all week you got that one dead on. Some of us old guys may remember a ballad by Tom T. Hall that had a chorus to the effect "There's just three things the the world you can count, old dogs and children and watermelon wine." Never had any watermelon wine but dogs and small children will love you when no one else does.
