While having so many spools is a bit inconvenient the benefits of the bobbin outweigh the issue in my opinion. A friend of mine has a setup with a long piece of dowelling on his base, similiar to the threa post that comes with the vice, just in wood. He has screws with faucet washers in the doweling so he can hand two or three extra bobbins on it. I am not a fan of the caps that come with the bobbins, some of them are loose and the thread slips through it. If you have them hanging they are easily accessed.

Do what works for you. I have one bobbin and like 6 spools. Fine for me for now.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.
