Haven't heard the RainX thing, but who knows. I like the Orvis floatant. Heat doesn't seen to make it turn into water like others (Heat meaning warmdays, and pockets). I love that Frogs Fanny to. Infact I buy it by the bulk LOL

Al Campbell was a strong advocate of soaking flies in Rain-X prior to storage. I've been doing this for years. Like so many things I learned from Al, Rain-X rocks!
Wow..there's alot of different options I guess. Thanks for all the input. I've got some watershed so I guess I'll try that first.
I am interested in floatants as well. Wonder what would work best at the bench after you've tied up a bunch.
But, be careful with the Gink products. I don't remember the exact name, Xink, Zink...? But I bought a little bottle of their product that says for sinking wet flies. It says once you apply this you will never have to use a weight again! That "bleep" stuff is the best floatant ever. I have to jerk the fly four times to get it to go under and on my small stream that is end of cast. I have since been told they have a bad habit of mis-labeling their stuff. I probably shouldn't be bashing them but I still have the stuff. It is definitely not what the label claims it to be.
Just FYI but I won't buy anything by that company now.
