Fly propellers, what size to use

I've just ordered some small propellers from Feathercraft for some experiments. I question I have however relates to their use. If, as suggested, I put one on the leader ahead of a little bead won't the sharp pierced edge of the hole in the propeller cut or notch the leader?

If I were going to mount it on a line I would use a small tube, like the tube that comes with WD40.
