It's been said on this site that trouts don't live in ugly places, and it's true. But sometimes it's nice to be reminded that beauty is where you find it, even, perhaps especially, in your own backyard.

Captivating expanse of sky Bluegill...and some folks wonder what it is, that draws others to the outdoors.

Thank you for posting those, Dave

Tim, those are very nice! The folks that call this "flyover country" just don't know what they're missing out on.
I really like the shot of you, the pup, and the fish swirling. That one deserves to be printed, framed, and hung in a special place!

I love going hiking for trout, however when I am at the local pond with my son it always seems more like the place I am supposed to be.
If at first you don't succeed ... Then sky diving may not be the sport for you

Only thing in my back yard is my dogs and feral cats - but not at the same time! Very nice pics - good for you! Not to rain on your parade, but my "home water" is full of mine acid, and the occasional shopping cart!

    Best regards, Dave S.

Touche, fishdog, granted some places you have to look a whole lot harder and with a more forgiving eye to find the beauty
