Just bought Toadz™ ToadRage™ Rain Jacket from Frogg Toggs. It may not be the smallest packing but it's tough and breathable. Once folded it fits in the backside pocket of my vest.... Used it multiple time this spring and I like it very much.

I bought 2 rain ponchos for our trip to New Zealand. I got them at Home Depot for about $4.50 each. Small, packable and a nice light brown color. Because we had them, we never used them. The rain god only cut loose heavy at night and lightly during the day. Jim

Frogg Toggs for the price. There are better out there if you want to spend.

I'm with the Frog Toggs crowd... light weight, effective and cost effective. If you loose the luggage you won't cry. Otherwise dig out the big bucks for the goretex or take a plastic poncho.

I also go with the Frogg Toggs for the price and good quality (for the money). I believe if I was hiking overnight, the size of the bundle would be a problem, but for my day trips or camping fishing trips, they are great.
