Charlies and Gotchas: kiptail or snythetic?

What should a person use for a wing on a Crazy Charlie? I tied up a couple with kiptail, and actually a couple with rabbit fur (small ones) today. Would using something like Congo Hair be a better idea?

I would suggest natural hair when you want a little duller fly for bright days and the synthetics when you want transparency and flash. Or try mixing synthetics and hair. I use synthetics myself because there is such a great selection of color, texture, flash and shine. Justin Wilson, the famous Louisiana cook was once asked what you needed to have in order to make genuine New Orleans Gumbo. His response holds true for fly tying as well, "Whatever you got!" 8T

I use Craft Fur. My favorite is Punisher Glitter fur with a few strands of Krystal Flash for good measure.
