Well folks, if you were looking to find a new & creative way to put a fish "on the reel", I believe you've just found it!
    Very entertaining.

OMG! I just thought how awesome it was that you were able to follow that rod that far. That, my friend, is extreme FFing...and putting the fish on the reel gains new meaning.

That was incredible. And you're right, photographic proof is the best. I especially liked your hat. Where can I find one like it? Thanks for posting.

    Dr Fish,

That was amazing. I'd like to see the full uncut version of that too.

Very sorry but had to pull the video at the request of a production company who wants to use it. Those of you who got to see it, I'm glad. Those that didn't see it yet, sorry. Hope to get it up again at some point. Politics . . .

Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the great comments.

Jeff I gotta ask, what percentage chance did you give yourself of recovering the rig once you chucked it overboard?

What would have been a worst case scenario if you didn't, the rod guides getting ripped off or the loss of a few sections? I guess I don't know much about catching REAL fish. I don't know what I would have done.
