Default Broke In New Grandt Fly Rod

Went out specifically looking for a wind sheltered area to break in my new fly rod.

Needed easy casting and an easy fix. Thought brookies were the way to go.

I used Kurth's UV Stone and Goetsch's Pretty in Pink bead headed nymphs.

The brookies were eager and I am happy to report that NO GILL LICE in this stream in

    Southern Richland County.

22 to hand in 1.5 hours nothing big.

This time of year, any fish is a trophy. Actually, any time of year they're trophies.

Len, glad to see you getting out. It appears you broke in the new rod with style. Thanks for sharing.
