I have used some of these hooks (nymph, scud, curved) in the past. To me, the scud hooks run large and thick, more like an egg hook than a scud hook. Plus, the eye on this particular hook seems large to me. The nymph and curved hooks work well for what I'm using them for. I've been wanting to get some smaller hooks but they have not yet arrived. THe finish on the hooks is really nice, and the hooks appear to be sharp enough. For the money (different price when I got them) they were very good hooks.

At one time, I think he had the nice salmon hooks. I don't see them on his website, so I don't know if he no longer carries them, or if you just need to send him an email about them?

There are other places out there with same or better prices and the same hooks.
ALL of them have been mentioned here on FAOL.
I use too many hooks to pay $7/100 for them.
If you take some time to do searches and source your supplies, it's amazing how much you can 'save'....
I'm just saying....

Allen Fly Fishing does have cheap prices on 25 count packs, however the selection of hook styles seems very basic though. Still a cheap way to have a pack of all the basic styles. Anyone know if they'll mix sizes or style for quantity pricing? i.e 4 packs of 25 in 4 different sizes in one style for 100 count price? THAT would really get my attention.

I have dealt with Justin and bought some hooks and the service and effort has been great.. I use a lot of 2488s and the tiemco seems to have a finer wire while the other hook is heavier and fatter which is problematic when trying to keep a small bug floating.
