Default REVISITING THE CLASSICS - Neil - December 6, 2010

    REVISITING THE CLASSICS

For a number of years I have wanted to go back and revisit some of the classic fly fishing literature that I had read years ago. Much of the material in those books I had merely skimmed for information during the years that I was attempting to gather as much useful information about fly fishing as possible.

I consatantly read and reread the classics as often as I can. I enjoy the newer literature on fly tying, but the classics are just that, classic. The information contained in them is still just as valid as it was when the volume was written and I am constantly amazed at the common sense approach of the old time fishers and tiers. My fly box is full of flies written about by Pritt, Skues, Woolley and others.

    Hi All,

Enjoyed the article. Being more of a warmwater bluegill/panfish fisherman, I woulder the same questions with regard to bluegills.

    Regards,

    Gandolf
