    Default adjustable knot?

I like using a dry and dropper rig for a lot of my fishing. However some of my local water has too much variation in depth for this setup to work well.

One run might be only 18" deep and the next is 48" deep. It's frustrating to have to re-rig every 20 yards of stream. I usually end up using an trying adjustable slip-on strike indicator or give up nymphing and just cast dries.

Has anyone figured out a way to rig a dry and dropper so that you can adjust the depth of the dropper easily? I though some kind of adjustable slip knot might work...

I don't know of any but I was going to try the dropper rig setup this year and that is a question I would probably have at some time.

Why not a loop to loop connection using the eye of the hook as one loop and a loop formed in the leader for the other. Just loosen up the mono loop and slide the fly to a new location before pulling tight again.

kengore; thread the tippet material through the eye of the Dry Fly then attach your nymph.

Use a minni low density tapered plastic peg to lock the dry fly onto the tippet material where you will. Fully adjustable."G"

Could be fun seeing what happens if the Dry Fly is taken first. Have Fun Jax

Sounds like a great idea, one borrowed from the bait fisherman. What would be an example of the type material used for the peg?

lthrnk. Any low density Polyethelene or P.V.A. For instance the flexi lids off Plastic Kitchen Ware. Just make sure the lady of the house won't mind slivers missing off her lids.
