I wouldn't sweat yet. We had one that was out of town this week.

I believe everyone has their rod at this point. Good job, and thanks for playing.

I came home Sunday from a short trip to find my rod had arrrived in perfect condition while I was away. No time yesterday to post this.
It's a very nice rod, beautifully made by Betty Hiner. Came in a nearly indestructable PVC tube, and a very nice green plaid rod sock also made by Betty.
i'm clampin' on a brand spankin' new Pfleuger Medalist with the rim control spool, and a 5wt line today, and headin' out to the crappie pond saturday with it.
It looks to become one of my favorite rods right off........................Thanks again Betty............................................. .............ModocDan

Thanks Dan!! You did notice (in your note to me) my signature, too. Somewhere on a rod, or sock, will be my sig. Yours was on the sock, at the ties! Hugs!

So how do they cast? How do they fish? So far I have only gotten the tip top glued onto mine, I've been working on other rods with my hobby time, but I'm curious as to how these blanks perform. Anyone have "first fish" pictures yet? Which line do you prefer? 5, 6, 7? Anyone done a "common cents" measurement?

I've only had a chance to yard cast mine. I put a 6 weight line on it, and it casts nicely. Especially considering how much the blank costs. I'm planning on building another for my kids.

Not sure if any of you folks who participated in the swap are using your rods, but I thought I'd share some pictures of the rod I built from roughly the same equipment list. Good thing I didn't sign up for the swap, since I certainly wouldn't have met the timeline.
