    Okay I hear you guys talk about Medalist 1494's all the time and this weekend I got one in really good condition at the local Flea Market for $10 bucks. Did I do okay???

    hard to tell from the picture but if its american made it appears you got a great deal if it isnt american made you still made a good deal.

    Great deal, looks like the older USA made version, prob sell it on Ebay for $30+ - if the reel seat doesnt fit your rod...

    that's great, I love the medalists everything a trout reel needs to be, well built and simple. I like things that have been around for years. things that don't work extremely well don't last.
