    Default Bush House Burns Down

I know there are quite a few PA fisherman on this board. The Bush House in Bellfonte is no more. Everything burnt to the ground. Even Schnitzels Resturant. I used stay there once a year when fishing Spring Creek.

Now that's a shame. After fishing Spring Creek at Flyfishermans Paradise , Schnitzels was a GREAT place to stop and rehydrate with some nice German beer.
Bellfonte is a quaint little town with it's trout windvane atop city hall, full of historic buildings. The Bush House can never be replaced.

    Oh man, that stinks!

Well you can look at it this way, The Manor Inn @ Slate Run suffered the same fate and is back, albeit a bit classier. And the Antrim Lodge is back too where I fell off bar stools more times than the Bush House & Manor Inn combined .

    Hopefully the owners will rebuild.

That is bad news indeed, Bellfonte is one of my favorite places to visit.

You could never go wrong with Schnitzels. Where else could you have a great meal, good drinks and feed the huge trout all at the same time.

It will be missed by many
