I know I am not the only FAOL Addict here, when the board goes down I have to have something to do to pass the time. If it gets too bad I might have to break down and go fishing. so How about some suggestions.........I'll start (dont make it too serious.)

every 5 minutes click on FAOL and see if it is up again.

    Take a Nap.

    Eric,

It's going down at 11 PM on a Friday night.

If you are an old **** like me you should be in bed by then and you won't notice.

If you are a young person you should:

Be out partying with friends or..

Getting a good nights sleep so you can get up at 3 am and hit the water early on Saturday or..

Driving cross country all night to get to that special fishing spot before daylight or...

Spending quality time with your special someone so you can fish all day on Saturday with a clear conscience.

With any of these, you won't notice.

If you are a young married type with kids, you will be in bed because the kids will get you up early and you need the rest, so you won't notice.

If you are a middle aged married type, no one cares about your demographic anymore so if you notice the site is down, no one cares .

If you don't fit any of these categories, and you are up at 11 PM on a Friday night and your main concern is that FAOL is down and you can't find anything else to do.....someplace there is a life out there...maybe finding it would be a good idea?

I know I used to have a life...it's around here someplace....can't find my darn glasses either....or my scissors...

Eric, I suggest that you start watching "Last of the Summer Wine". It's a great Brit-com. You can get the 1995 "vintage" in US format from Amazon and it WAS a very good year.
I canNOT look at those West Yorkshire streams and not wonder about the fishing...

    EdD,
"Last of the Summer Wine" , is there any other sitcom. British or otherwise, that could calm your nerves as much? Just three English gents strolling through the British countryside .......................................

EdD and Marco, Great show I could happily live with PBS as my only TV station. I lived in England for 18 months and cant watch a British sitcom with out wanting to go back for another year or so.

The weather is supposed to be really crumby here this weekend. So, I'll tie some flies, do some "Honey-Do's" and nap. Most everything will be done between some real serious napping. Why is it that the good fishing weather happens Monday thru Friday, and the crumby weather happens Saturday & Sunday?
