It looks like the rain may let up for you this afternoon. We know you will have a great time Betty. The boys'll take good care of you.

    Brad--

We're heading out to Douglas County State Lake just north of Baldwin City. Looks like we'll be trickling out there all afternoon, but most of us won't make it (darn job!) until evening.
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.

    Thanks,

Good to know. Since I work in Lawrence I may stop buy on my way home.

Lots of rain over here last night.

Miss Betty, is it true that your trip to the Blluegill Fish-In is merely by way of preparation while you're waiting for your visa to the Island Nation of Ohio?
At least we know you'll never visit Tennessee. I mean, why would you want to go fish in a river where there are 'bows on one side and big 'gills on the other? Take you pick from where you're standing. You wouldn't want to waste your time with anything like that..

Oh, Ed ... this, today, is NOT the bluegill fish-in. Today is just my boys, taking me fishing! They're trying to get me to see that bluegills are fish, too! We'll see what happens!! The rain, torrential rain, lightning and thunder and incredible winds, have all died out, and though not sunny, at least is fishable weather. Maybe about 60. So ... IT'S A GO!!!! Hummm ... bluegills ... one I can legitimately add an "S" to the end of. (Ya like the way I ended my sentence with the preposition? Plurals and grammar! My strong points!!)

<"What have I got my self in to??" asking from a rocking, fetal position!!>
Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

    Hi Betty,
I sure wish you had my TFO Finesse 2wt, you would have a ball.
They are so much fun anyway, but on a 2wt, unbelieveable!
    Have a marvelous time!
    Kind Regards,

    Hi Zac,

I would like to but its a long way to go, and I am on call at work that weekend. I may next year if everyone does it again. It really sounds like a lot of fun.

I am really looking forward to the pictures of the trip with Betty today, and a full report from everyone, hopefully you all did well and had a great time.

    Regards,

    Gandolf

Check out the "They've gone and done it" thread for the first of the pics!
