    Lot's of good info.

    I think a lot of the "rumors" are just that. People thinking about what might happen. Common sense says water inside waders weighs the same as water outside of the waders. The water won't weigh you down. Maybe all the junk in my vest will though. I agree with the ones that say point your feet down stream. You need to fend yourself off of the rocks and things. Wearing a wading belt is a must! My wife and I always check each other to make sure we are wearing them.

    I don't post much....but my advice on this thread...if ya haven't gone down the river in your waders...do it...in summer...intentionally with a buddy handy on shore...the first time is an adventure...you will learn how to handle the situation while not in a dither...then when caught off guard in a real event you have some idea on how to get out...we all practice casting, tying etc...why not practice for survival???...just my .02
