In the summer months I can't wait to get out of my waders! This last year i purchased a pair of Korkers Torrent River Runners and I love them. I do a lot of bush whacking and they keep my feet protected but are built mostly out of neoprene so they don't hold a lot of wader. Hikes in are done with the trail/lug sole and I just make the quick switch to studded felt when I get to my destination!

    Hey Mike,
I don't want to hijack the thread but this is in keeping with the theme ( Equipment for hiking in ).
A couple of quick questions about your Torrents.

    1) Realistically, how long does it take to change out one sole to another?
    2) Is there a tool involved? If so, could the change be accomplished without it?
    3) Have you tried their studded rubber sole ? If so, your impressions.

    Thanks Mike, Dave

    Dave,
    1) It takes about five minutes to take them off, remove the sole, and install the new one.
    2) I know a few models of Korkers have a tool but its not required for the torrents. Sometimes the change can be a bit tricky and there is a slight learning curve to determine the easiest way to install the sole.
    3) I haven't tried it, just the studded felt and the hiking sole (which i have waded in also)

    Hope this helps,
    Mike

Thank you Mike for those succinct answers.

I think Korker's might owe you a commission on this sale, two dealers couldn't fill in the blanks you just did.

    Thanks again, Dave
