    Default Practice, Practice, Practice

Got my Daughter and almost Son-In-Law out for a lawn casting practice session. Melissa, my daughter, needed a bit of a casting tune up, while Phil (he'll be my Son-In-Law Saturday) had never held a fly rod before. I had sent him an Albright rod, reel and line. Gave him a chance to use it. After overcoming his habits from spin casting, he started doing quite well. Got the feel of the rod loading, picked up shooting line, and started hitting targets very quickly. Looks like my Melissa picked a future fly flinger as a hubby.

I was impressed with the Albright rod, even though it wasn't a top of the line rod, it was a smooth casting rod with lots of power for a 5/6 wgt.

Good job Ree and congratulations on catching a son-in-law.
