    Default J. Ryall Standard owners

thinking about one for my Legend Ultra 5 wt. How do you like the reel? Thanks.

The search engine was useful. I want additional information.

I own 5 of them from #4 to #10 and fish them often.Similiar to the Teton reel and its very light and strong. The drag is more than you ever need.I fish my #8 in the surf a lot but you have to make sure its cleaned after saltwater use.Very good reel but not as popular as others for some reason.I love mine though.

I purchased a standard arbor 10 wt for use in the salt. The first time I used it, the spool seized. I took it home, cleaned it thoroughly and it seemed fine. The second time I used it in the salt, it seized again. I took it home, cleaned it thoroughly and it seemed fine. I sold it on Ebay. Too much aggravation for too little fishing time!
