Sage Rods From The 90's

What is the model number of those cool rods with the nickle-silver fittings and dark brown rod shafts? They were mostly 2 piece (before 3&4 and got popular) Thanks for any and all

The sage i have was put together in 92.The markings on the shaft are Graphite III
GFL 696 RPLB.This is probably the best of the rods i own.Hope this helps.

I should have added that this rod does have the nickel-silver reel seat and has the dark brown shaft.

I'm guessing you are asking about the LL series.

Very bamboo like.

I have two built on blanks that I wouldn't trade for all the tea in China. One is a 279 and the other is a 389. The first number is the line weight, and the second two numbers are the length of the rod in feet and inches.

If you ever see a 469 LL for sale anywhere e-mail me. It's the best small stream rod ever made, and the only rod I will ever regret not buying when I had the opportunity.

The RP came out early 80's RPL late 80's both if memory serves me came as you discribed. These rods were the gold standard and are still great tools.
