    LJ33,
Pardon my ignorance. What exactly are we looking at.
What ever it is, I'm sure it's the real deal.

It is a chest fly box, made in Hollidaysburg Pa with the glassine envelope to hold silk leaders and the felt pads to keep the leaders moist. Inscribed Hollidaysburg Pa "FYE" box

I have two of these chest boxes I bought in the late sixties or early seventies (can't remember exactly when). The ones I purchased were sold as Richardson fly boxes. I like them so much, I've refurbished them. The foam inserts were getting a little worn. I find them very handy. Probably a little dated for the younger guys.

These things look like prototypes of the chest boxes George Harvey and his disciples brought into general use in Central Penna, in the 1940's and 1950's. You still see lots of people using them there.
