Off to Mt

Well Fri. I will be off to western Montana to due some fishing and elk hunting with my nephew. Have'nt been out west in three years, and am looking forward to the next week.

Ok got back on the 25th and finally have time to report. The weather was great! 50's at nite and 80's in the day with a nice breeze. Fished the Clark Fork, Rock Creek, and the Bitterroot. All gave up fish on either hoppers, (Clark) olive sculpins, (Rock) and small tricos ( Root). When I say small, I mean like 20's and 22's. Nothing huge to report, but did land 16 in 6 days, and lost about 5 more. the largest were around 10 to 12".Did not get out to elk hunt do to the rancher having some type of problem on the ranch. Looking forward to going back this spring and attempting to get a combo tag for next fall. What a beautiful place.
