Just got the word today! After 39+years of life, working since I was 14, gainfully?? employed with a salary since I was 24, I can finally, finally, FINALLY stop throwing money at the landlord and throw it at the bank! The offer was accepted, and the backyard treehouse planning has begun.

Cross your fingers, y'all, and join me in hoping the escrow closes on time!! I can't wait to carry my bride of 17 years across the threshold of our own house, (did I say finally?)

I wasn't going to do this but down the slippery slope I go. Yes, I too wish to offer congratulations. I also want to comment on your reference to capitalism and working for a living for a loooong time to get what you were after. I'll keep it short and won't go on and on, but in these days of entitlement mentality, it's truly refreshing to hear someone talking about earning what they get in life.
