Default Didymo comfirmed in the Lower Mountain Fork River in S.E. Oklahoma

Just an FYI, the OK Wildlife Department has confirmed that the LMF has been infested with didymo.

Man what a shame , that is an amazing stream. Maybe it will stay isolated and not spread. Fly fisherman are a good bunch when it comes to self education and the protection of there home waters. I'm sure that fact will play a major role.

Probably came over from the White and Norfork tailwaters...hope it doesnt spread to Missouri. Cheers.

We are taking up funds to get signs posted warning anglers of the hazards. Right now that is about all we can do. But we can at least do that!

Here is the Wildlife Department address to mail personal donations.

    ODWC
    PO BOX 53465
    OKC, OK 73152
    Attn: Fisheries Division

Be sure and put a letter with your donation that states the donation is for the Didymo Sign project.
