Hello
I am going to be doing some steelhead fishing and need your favorite steelhead flies. Recipes would be helpful. I will be fishing before ice out and after ice out. thanks.
Hello

For West michigan streams in the spring I use stonefly nymphs, egg flys, egg sucking leaches ( a wooly bugger with a ball of red chenille at the front) and large fox squirrel nymphs. Skunks and sparrows are other good choices. I think you will find most of these patterns in the fly of the week archives.
I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.
Polar shrimp, street walker, purple peril, bunny leach in pink, purple, black, egg sucking leach with bunny strips, egg flies, greenbutt, redbutt, and skunk. All these patterns can be found on salmonfly.net

"No matter how complicated life can get -- remember life is sometimes like fly fishing; after turning over every rock in the river trying to "match the hatch", you have probably spooked every fish for miles -- so don't let the "little things" BUG you -- just enjoy whatever you find." Mike Ormsby
