they say funerals are for the living, not the deceased. this gift from all of us is much the same: not every family that loses a loved one is lucky enough to know about all the friends left behind. now John's family can really see how much he meant to us all, and i hope it eases their sorrow.
fly fishing and baseball share a totally deceptive simplicity; that's why they can both be lifelong pursuits.
By the way, the very center of the display is an Arkansas Scud tied by bassman himself. It seemed appropriate to have it there, and I measured the center of the backing and pinned it in place first, and worked all the other flies in around it.
