Default Does anyone know the value of these rods?

The lady that owns these rods gave me the following information. It is scarce info but I am trying to get a look at them. I have no idea of the vlaue of these rods. Anything you can come up with will be a big help.

Effecto 9' refinished with 2 tips bamboo
AJ Stam Calcutta cotto 9' 1 tip bamboo
AJ Stam 8' 1 tip bamboo
Achonized Gep-Rod tubular steel 2 pc.
    Horrocks-Ibbotson signature bamboo
All rods have socks or cases. Unfortunately she was unable to give me the
    weights of the rods.

This is the same person that gave me the reels. Her Grandfather had over 250fly rods! Unfrotunatly, her mother and other family members beat her to most of the rods. They also threw out almost all of his tying materials! What a waste! She did manage to save a $3,000 rod for her son.

    Thanks for your help.

I think those models have very modest value, if I'm not mistaken they were "built for the masses" high-production rods similar to say berkely or eagle claw rods of today. To be sure, check with the classic rod forum they have an appraisal page with some very knowledgeable people on it with a far better estimate on value than I do.

Those rods won't have AFTMA weights, they will be classified in the old system.

    ktokj,
Thanks for the advice. I checked out that site, but haven't had time to register yet. I intend to do so on my time off this week.

I'm interested in knowing what the $3000 rod she saved was. Do you mind sharing that piece of information?

    Rev Bob,
Sorry it took me so long to respond. We are very, very busy sending supplies to the troops in the theater of operations. I am lucky to have had time to come home and sleep.

I missed puting in the fact that the $3,000 was for rod, reel, line and case. She didn't give me the particulars on them and we barely have time to say hello/goodbye at work. I will try to find out more info but cannot make any promises.
