Here is the damaged PVC tube (ignore the dates, I used my son's camera and took them a few minutes ago):

I might have dodged a bullet. It looks like the blanks are still intact. I flexed the sections and they all seem to be behaving normally with no signs of fracturing. Glad they are fiberglass and not graphite.

    Harleybob,

That stinks! I got 2, so if you want one, I'll let you have one of mine. Not quite sure how I'll ship it, though! Let me know your addy and I'll get it out shortly. It obviously happened at the same station, because mine was fixed up almost identically to yours before I opened it up. Yours took a much worse beating than mine did.

thanks for the kind offer. This just shows how much people care about other her at FAOL. I am going to the post office tomarrow and get my money back from them. They are going to pay for their careless handling of product. Funny they were just asking me why I use Fed Ex and UPS to ship my completed rods. Ummmmm makes a person wonder. I will say this I am staying in the swap if everyone can wait for me to get a new rod. I found them at one of my suppliers for $10 a pop plus actuall shipping. I leave it up to everyone here if you don't want to wait I fully under stand.

1 vote for waiting. Harleybob will raise the curve for the rest of us, though.

I love it. Just spoke with the usps at 1-800-askusps and they attitude is whooops sorry but we are not going to reimburse you. I will call acidrod tomarrow and get the new blanks ordered. They are preaty good about shipping fast and cheap. OLast week when I was shipping out some flies for a swap the postal service said, "Hey bob why don't you use our service to ship your rods you build?" Well I think they just got their answer. The shipments had to be hit preatty hard to break the pvc pipe it was wrapped in. Maybe the usps should have bought dhl they would have fit right in LOL
