Hi Rich... Sure.. love to know. BTW I never did get your email...did it fail? You said in a post "You got Email" ... on the rod cost discount stuff.. The guys just can't seem to get enough of that.. I see it started up again LOL,,.... Bob
Hi Bob It was not bounced you should have recieved it ... i will send again as for the #'s here they are in short form
Peak for Res.was 1994 with with 150,550 adult season licence's sold dipping to 121,221 in 2002 and back up to 129,125 in 04
Res. youth 7,076 in 02 down to 350 in 04 (I am struck dumb by this drop???)
Non Res. peaked 1999 for total lic. sold just like Idaho 225,845 down to 144,947 sold last year. The sport of fishing is in trouble!! If the #'s for youth are corect (and they are) The #'s of fly shops will fall by 50% in the next 5 years!! THE BLOOM IS OFF THE ROSE!!! and I predict it will never come back. ( and that is ok by me)
Rich
Boy Rich! I know I have been traveling less the last year and a half but that was because of health. Hopefully next season will be back on the trail. I have to say though.. I haven't seen much drop off at the shows. They seem to be holding steady even with more and more popping up. The number of people on the Beaverkill and Delaware system sure hasn't been going down nor on the Ausable (NY) .
The kids though... That is a tough one to figure. That is one drastic drop!
Bob get the licence #'s for your state and see if they are the same as out here. and every body elsr that is tuning in. get the #'s for your state and let see if we can stick a fork in fishing (it done) or if this is a west thing.
