Dang Leonard, those are some awesome fish. I'd love to have been on the bank watching you wrassle that spoonbill. Beautiful smallie and 'Bow.

I've had a very busy year and the only fishing I have done has been on the South Holston River in East Tennessee. The fishing was good each trip, and the only species I caught were Browns and Rainbows.

Went to Ohio in April, where Ohiotuber and I went after steelhead, monster bluegills and bass.

In September my wife and I spent a week in NE Iowa catching rainbow, brown, and brook trout.

The rest of the time was spent on a multitude of ponds, lakes, streams, creeks, puddles and tailwaters here in NE Kansas catching bluegills, crappie, white bass, wipers, large and smallmouth bass, catfish, bullfrogs, and, my new species for 2008: gizzard shad.
If it swims and eats, it'll eat a fly.

When you can arrange your affairs to go fishing, forget all the signs, homilies, advice and folklore. JUST GO.

You think 2008 was bad....Last year my trip there began with TWO Broken rods..... henceforth and forever known as the: "Honey can we take the BMW's top down? Incident"

Actually I can't say enough great things about the place...laid back, uncrowded, inexpensive...It just seems to have been my luck this year, or the lack of it. Been going there for TwentyFive Years and have enjoyed every trip....even the broken rods weren't so bad.... I got to replace them UPGRADES even LOL
