Could anyone please direct me to the proper method of mounting on the hook these 'pierced at one end and slit on the side' tungsten tear drop beads. I am trying to tie a nymph using one of these - are there any known articles on tying them?

doesnt the foto you provide give you any clue as to how they go on the hook???
are you talking about actually secureing the bead prior to tying anything on the hook shank? If so you might try zap a gap or super glue gel. otherwise put the thing on the hook, and tye to the hook just like normal, only dub over the teardrop portion of the bead leaving only the round exposed. whip finish and liberally head cement and it'll stay.

Thanks guys,
Yeah, I know how to mount the bead on the hook (Normand), my problem is to make it stay aligned and secure.
Will try hugefish_80 suggestion to fill the gap with some glue prior to dubbing over.
how about pinching it closed like you would split shot
