Anyone been fishing articulated flies enough to have an opinion whether or not there is a difference in hook-ups between flies with the hook in the tail area or in the thorax [front]?

Anyone been fishing articulated flies enough to have an opinion whether or not there is a difference in hook-ups between flies with the hook in the tail area or in the thorax [front]?
It only matter for smaller fish. A back hook will eliminate those short strikes and you will hook more fish.
