Other than the new paper, it seems the same to me.

Orthoman...it's supposedly a way to keep track of the steelhead/salmon in the state....

Each fish you Harvest...you record time /place/type...and turn the tag in at the end of the year....we are starting a new year and this is the first one he tagged......

Yeah the new paper sucks. I actually got my sports pac. But you can get a separate hatchery tag that you can get only your steelhead tags and save room for your salmon on our regular tag.

Yeah -- we have had salmon and steelhead cards for years. Supposed to fill them out at the end of each day fishing -- submit them at the end of the year.

I guess I don't mind helping out to survey the fishing -- I only hope they are actually doint something with all the info.

Hey there Steelieslayer... Wherabouts did you get that steelie? My home water's the Rogue River, and our season so far has been pretty spotty. There's Steel in the river, but pretty low numbers, and the water conditions have been unfavorable for quite a while. That don't mean no fish, just have to work a little smarter for 'em. I haven't been out on the river since '08 came in, and no lic or tag yet, so I didn't know about the hatchery fish option? Whassat? I've always kinda disliked the tag thing, but, it's been around so long now I guess Im just used to it. I have seen some stats they came up with from the info a time or two, but I figure it's mostly unreliable gobbledeegook..................................... ...ModocDan

Great looking metalhead, I like the way you fish, looks like you have a fish caddie, and a photographer, do take them fishing all the time? and do they get paid? if so I'm for hire.....
