I have turned to small stream trout fishing and panfishing almost exclusively lately and got the Rio to put on the spare spool for my Hardy fly weight reel. It is everything they say it is: Ultra-supple and memory free even in cold weather.
I won't stop using Cortland either, but I love the Rio.

By the way, what's the big deal about the loop. Who needs one?

I love furled leaders. I have also turned to small stream fishing, and furled leaders turn over and land softer for me than any other type of leader. They also are memory free and last forever. Pick up off the water seems softer too.

I've never seen a furled leader without a loop.

Have you considered or ever tried a Wulff Triangle Taper? Definitely worth considering!

am not authorized to tell you the name; it is a secret until the Denver show. I can say the surface finish is,,, Cool

a lot like,,,. Shark Skin!!!! Cool
Actually, I can now. The technology is called 'Sharkskin'.
The name of the line is...
    'ULTIMATE TROUT'
So, there you have it. You will be hearing much more of this in time. It is FAST, FLOATS LIKE A CORK, REPELS DIRT. DURABLE.
I will be fishing it in Idaho.

The new SA Sharkskin line also retails for $100!
It better be self mending for that price!

For $99.00, it better come with bikini clad young ladies that will bring a steady stream of food and drinks to me everytime I go to the river to fish.

Thanks for all of the replies. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be picking up the BBSII reel and either the Orvis or the Winston BIIt rod. I'm also pretty sure I will not be buyin a $100 line to go with it.
