kayak fishing davis lake
got out in my kayak to do some bass fishing at davis lake this weekend. i have been hearing how great a bass fishery this lake is for a while now and had to try it out. the word on this lake is correct, my first night there i had 5 hits in about two hours, i did not land any though as the fish are big and i could not turn them from the rocks. so the next morning i beef up my tippet and try again. this time my i was able to land a few approaching 6 lbs. biggest bass ever for me. they were hitting a baby bass bonker zonker on a floating line with a strip pause retrieve. great weekend. thanks for listening
