Bucky, you might want to look at the Wet fly swap in the swap section. It has some great pictures of a lot of soft hackle flys. John

Just checked that thread out and those are some very, very nice flies. Have to work on mine to get them looking anywhere near that good.

For hackling smaller soft hackles, try hen or starling feathers.
Phesant works good also.

Thanks to Bud for posting the links to the North Country flies. You're going to love those links Bucky!! Partridge and Orange (or blue, or yellow) are my "go to" flies. They'll always work, even if nothing else is!!
