Mark, there are 3 other fly shops in Nashville; Cumberland Transit, Fly South, & Game Fair Ltd. They each have their niche.

I really am impressed the way the Bro-in-law does it. No lists. He just grabs, grabs, grabs. Then when it's time to pay up, he just about craps himself. It is funny.

EdD, Thanks for the info, but they are still 3hrs drive away. Can I assume they are better than Bass Pro?

Each of the shops has its strong points. I think that Fly South has the best selection of Whiting hackle by far. They probably have the best selection of hair for wings. If I want to tye soft hackles, I go to Cumberland Transit for the feathers. Game Fair Ltd. is an Orvis authorised dealer. It has less tying material than the other shops, but pleasant surprises in their stock are common.

    Softhackler,

Thanks for my best laugh of the day. You should video tape your brother-in-law sometime and share it with all of us on FAOL. Be sure to get a close up of his face at the cash register. 8T
