Well, it came in the mail today. I couldn't resist the urge to cast it so I lined it with one of my DT 5 and threw it around on the lawn. Although not as fast as some of the rods I own, I was able to throw 50 ft of line with it without too much DH. Should be just right with a DT 4.
THanks to everyone for your responses.
Tight lines,

Well,
I lined it up with a DT4 and took it out to some small water this weekend. I must say I'm pretty impressed with it. Even for longer cast over 50 ft. it seemed like it still had some punch in reserve. It did okay on casts that were not much more than the leader. Not as nice as a far and fine rod I used to own, but for the price, it'll do!
The Far and Fine is in a class by itself, its one of the best rods ever conceived in the mind of man.Originally Posted by jdub04

Yeah, I still kick myself for letting that one go. Flyrods and muscle cars alike, go figure
I read this thread and couldn't help myself. I used my Cabela's points and ordered one to replace the WW Griggs 3 wt I broke when I shut the Jeep hatch on it. Should be here tomorrow if you can believe the UPS Tracking info.

I tie flies so the fish have something to laugh about!
For the price, how can you go wrong? It's a fine rod for smallish streams, casts great in close, and costs almost nothing.

What Chuck said! It even makes these guys feel bigger than they are...
