One of the hardest things of my flytying hobby was finally trying out my own flies. I stuck with store boughts thinking they were better than my own. Once I started catching trout on my own flies I never bought any more.

For sure keep that fly. Put it in a frame with a record of where when and how it caught that fish. You will treasure it in years to come.

Congrats Rawfish! If you have a photo of the fish, get it framed and secure the fly to the frame. On the back of the frame, write the date and location of where you caught the fish (and it's size, and so on). Even if that sounds silly now, trust me, in years to come this will be information you will be pleased to have.

If you don't have a photo, not a problem. Put the fly in a display box, and put the details on the back.

Anyway, well done! And the Micky Finn is an excellent brookie fly! Tie more.

Hi Rawfish,

I would think most photography shops would sell frames, and you can find decent looking ones in most department stores. Putting the picture in is easy.

First, however, you need to post it here!

If you want to spend a lot of money, then a Frame Shop would be fine. If you want to frame it cheaper, then wait for more responses to your Post.
