Marabou Blood Quills...

Does the term blood quill just relate to marabou feathers, or is it a specific kind of marabou feather, or feather in general? Anyone with knowledge of the term would be thanked gratefully for their insite.

Thanks, I guess if the feathers are immature, then the quills would be thinner.
