I got the idea from another thread on the For Sale section. What difference do you take when handling your expensive gear over the ones you consider economical?

Trout don't speak Latin.
none.
Best,
Black Gnat
none.
I fish the heck out of my Sage SLT. I bought it to fish with and that is what I do. Admittedly, I take it out of its case sometimes just to look at the beautiful thing.
None. I don't even break down the SLT anymore.
On the river - the same, basically as gardenfish put it. In transportation the SLT goes in the sock and case, the others usually go in just a sock. Unless I'm packing a full car like for camping-- in that case the fly rods all go in a case and spinning rods (if any) still just get tossed in the trunk.
I take care of everything as if it cost $$$.
My lower priced spinning and baitcasting tackle gets the same treatment as my high priced fly tackle.
Personally I think it's stupid to do otherwise.
I treat it all the same.
Best, Dave
some flyfishing stuff is economical?

Have Fun Stay Young Go Fly Fishing!
I take good care of all my stuff. Every thing I have I have for a reason regardless of its cost.
