Default Just a newcomer introducing himself.

I notice that most new people to the forum introduce themselves when they start posting, I never did, I just started writing and never got aquainted with anybody.
Well, HI. I am Louis. I live in SE Idaho, though, think I should have been born in British Columbia, because I love midge fishing for rainbows. Yes, I do fish all the famous posh rivers that everyone else does.,ie the Henry's Fork, the South Fork of the Snake, and yes when I feel like I need to exceed my bank account, Silver Creek, but I love stillwater fishing like a child loves Christmas. I am new to fly fishing when compared to those who have fished for thirty years plus, but I want to think I am not a beginner. I have decades to learn, and believe me when I say that my ears are better at listening than my mouth is at talking so keep the information coming. Now that we've met, we ain't strangers

    Howdy Loufly,

Welcome aboard. If you want to put some faces to some of the names around here you might want to think about joining us for the Idaho Fish-In. Last week in September in Lowell. Fishing the Selway, Lochsa and Clearwater with good company.

    Hey Loufly,
Welcome to "over by here" ( Chicago speak). You do live in trout heaven being near the South Fork of the Snake. I have fished that area and thought I WAS in heaven.
Lotsa great people here on FAOL with a whole lot of fly fishing information to share simply by asking.

Howdy loufish - Yep, Silver Creek has to be up there among the top ten "posh" streams. I have only fished it once, that was back in the early 70's. Welcome and Happy New Year. That might be a good topic. What do you consider the top ten "Posh" streams in North America? Thanks for the idea. Jonezee

I wish I could include rivers back East, but I honestly don't need to travel too much so I will do my best with western waters. Some might not be quite posh, but "everyone" has to fish there at least once.

Hi Loufly and welcome the BB. I live in Central Kansas and flying fishing is not popular yet but it is staring to catch on. A few years ago a couple of bass fishermen teased me for using a fly rod and now they keep a couple of sticks on their boats.

    Anyway---welcome aboard
