    Default Betty's Humming Bird

    Betty;
    Thank you. I have 2 done so far and will get at least a half dozen done this week. I do need bigger eyes though.
    I was planning to do the orniments as Christmas presents and you have added a whole new dimension to it, WOW!!

    This is fun!! I gave one to a good friend today and he was amazed as well as thankful. Just tied one with black tipped white tail feathers and blue/black tipped brown wings and an orange head. Lime green body. I used a magic marker to make the beak black and gave it a black collar behind the head!! I'm afraid to take it out of the vise, may have to put a leash on it!!
    Thanks again Betty.

    Same here...Have one tied and been "brainstorming" all day here at work on how I am going to tie up the next one! Job well done and I am so thankful you shared it with us. Thank you

    Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.

    I just tied up one using the tips of wild turkey breast feathers. If I can get it into a bulb undamaged it should make a unique trophy for the guy who gave me those feathers along with both wings. Now I just need to find some dark blue feathers to go with Ohio Tubers Maize chennille for the next one.
    I can think of few acts more selfish than refusing a vaccination.

    Yes

    It will catch bass, and will always catch the eye of people if it's on your hat band.
