    Yes Joe,
The Monsoons have started! The cats won't be catching any mice until spring because they don't like their little paws to get wet!
At least the mice will enjoy the winter.
Actually the rain is a curse that X Gov. Tom McCall put on Oregon to keep people from moving here!
    Thanks Tom!!!!
You will have to come back here and see and ride on the STUPID tram their building in Portland. When it went WAY over budget, the city council decided it was past the point of no return. So any of you in other cities that want a Ski Lift in your town, just give Mayor Tom Potter a call and he'll hook you up!
    It's still raining.
Doug P.S. What on earth happened to Washington State? Sonics, Huskies, Cougars, Seahawks all went down in flames!

    Eastern Washington lost also!
Thank you to everyone for your advice!
It all came together for me because I finally found some jackets on sale for 30% off and with my gift card I paid 55 bucks for a Columbia rain jacket that is actually lined! It even has a cute little pocket inside for a I-Pod or Cell phone, except I'm not HIP and don't own those things.
Do any of you know if there are actual humans who listen to 5,000 songs on the Pod?
It's STILL raining and I'm getting ready to get in the Lifeboat.
    Over and Out!
    Doug

I think it depends on the type of material your coat is made...
wax is great for waxed cotton (Filson for example) coats...
there are other repellents for other materials.
Why not call Columbia (a local call) & ask what they suggest????
    Later,
    Peter
