What a neat adventure you have ahead of you!
Just think of all you will learn about him from his fishing stuff. That's a story to be written

DETAILS MAN DETAILS!!! WE NEED DETAILS!!!

Sounds like you have a true treasure. Is your grandmother by any chance still around to shed some light on the items? that would be a great trip down memory lane.

    Austinite,
You may not have known your Grandfather before, but.....you're now in the process of being "introduced"! You just "struck it rich"!! Please keep us posted, or, as LF stated, write a story.

What a wonderful gift! He just waited to give it to you until you were ready for it.

Austinite, you definitely have an important link to your grandfather. I never knew my great grandfather, but I was given some of his tools (passed down to my grandfather, then to my father, and then to me). Every time I use one of these, I feel connected to all of them. It is an unexplainable experience, and I feel sure you will experience the same feelings. Enjoy them, and savor the connections.
