    Default Early August, 2024

Went to a new-to-me creek looking for darters. Made 2 trips.First trip I caught 9 species of fish. The most interesting were a small Walleye, and an Ozark Logperch.Second trip I caught at least 10 species of fish. Maybe 11...I'm awaiting confirmation of I.D. on one of the little minnow species... Anyway, a few were new-to-me species. The most interesting was that I finally caught an adult darter species (not including the Logperch, which is actually a darter).... an Orangethroat Darter.

Nice looking fish. You are doing much better than I am. Ponds are down a foot or two and pea green with algae blooms.

    Fishing good and catching poor.
