Panfish Clousers

I tied up a few Clousers to target panfish, mainly crappie. Plan to fish them below a small slip bobber, aka strike indicator.

nice ties. ive been tying some similar style flies for trout I use the tactical style hooks, I call them jig style , any how my best pattern seems to be an all fur soft hackle in a size 14. the advantage is that the hook rides upright which is less prone to snag and if you use a loop knot to attach the fly you get a lot more freedom of movement. its almost like fishing a crappie jig on a spinning rod.

I make similar to slay the crappie in my home lake. Skip the bobber and strip them. A lot more fun!!
