Snake ID challenge
A friend posted this on a local BB after grabbing it from the Clarion Ledger who found the story of the unusual pattern / colored snake at Madison, MS. This is what I would call a non-typical Copperhead. The markings in the last 1/3 or so of the body are typical of a copperhead, but you can see the front 2/3 look like a larger than normal garter snake.
